    With 2021 already having seen the end of two short-lived experiments in this area, Nick De Marco QC discusses the fundamental common problems with the concept of salary caps in football.

    In his article, Nick outlines the reasons why salary caps are not the solution for better financial regulation in football. He also examines the issues with the English Football League's 'Salary Cap Rules', as well as the proposed salary cap that would have underlined the European Super League.
